There are people who are always beset with problems – and cannot seem to get themselves un-stuck.  These people have “poor me!” written all over them.  They thrive on sympathy which fuels their woes, and gives them reason for remaining stuck.
When someone points out the solution to their problems, they resist it.  Why?
